TARPORLEY
DIARY 2002
part 3
Monday 30th September was a day to celebrate a 40th birthday with Adesola and her family, it was a great pleasure to meet such a lovely group of people.
Saturday 28th we celebrated the retirement of Louise‘s dad, a great day was had by all.
Over the weekend (21-22 September) we had a wild adventure with the Woodcraft Folk - Whittington Pioneers. When we returned on Sunday afternoon we met some very enthusiastic volunteers for a training session, pictured bellow is Judy and Olivia.
Saturday 7th September was another great day in the company of a dog and a group from All Saints Church. Our new volunteer Mari’ had her first shot at being captain for the day.
Tuesday 27th to 30th August was spent on the River Lee again with the NW5 Community Play Project - but this time with a group of boys, the picture above was taken to make them appear as sweet as the girls, but they loved slugs, stones, sticks, herding wild horses and charging around in our dinghies. We had another great week.
Monday 26th August was cold and bleak but we still had a great adventure with All Saints Church.
Monday 19th to 22nd August was spent travelling the River Lee with a great bunch of girls from NW5 Community Play Project - it is just impossible to imagine a more entertaining 4 days.
Tuesday 13th August was a trip to Little Venice with the Mayfield Day Centre, a good relaxing sunny day.
Monday 12th August was a great adventure for us working with Camden’s Camley Street Nature Park (what a fantastic place, you must go). The day ended with far too many children wanting a boat ride that sadly we had to let them down.
Why do young girls always poke their to
ngues out at me?
